Christmas Charcuterie Wreath: Best Snack Board Recipe
Description
This snack board is designed as a circular wreath with ingredients arranged in rings around a central empty space. Slices of orange and pomegranate form the outer edges, with basil sprigs, strawberries, and small bowls of dips and sprinkles filling spaces between. Rolled ham and salami roses add an element of elegance alongside circles of blueberries, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella balls.
The mixture of sweet fruits, creamy cheese, savory meats, fresh herbs, and sweet sauces balances taste and texture while creating a festive visual centerpiece. The use of sprinkles and spreads adds additional flavor contrasts.
This charcuterie wreath is suitable for holiday gatherings as a shared appetizer or snack, offering a range of flavors and finger foods that guests can pick at. The arrangement allows easy access and showcases seasonal produce alongside rich deli items in an appealing display.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cherry tomato
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup strawberries
- 3-4 basil sprigs
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese mini balls
- 1/3 cup cream cheese at room temperature
- 1-2 orange
- 4-5 lices ham
- 4-5 lices cheddar cheese
- 1-2 parsley sprigs
- 3-4 rosemary sprigs
- 1 pomegranate
- 2-3 christmas sprinkles types
- 2-3 tbsp honey
- 2-3 tbsp caramel
- 2-3 tbsp strawberry jam
Instructions
- 1. Grab your round charcuterie board and put it by your prep station. If you do not have a charcuterie board, you can use a round cutting board, a large round platter, or a large round plate in its place. I used a woven placemat. But any round board would do!
- 2. Prepare all the items for your Christmas charcuterie wreath. Use small bowls for most of the items to help organize the ingredients and leave less of a mess. Place dips and sprinkles into small decorative dipping bowls.
- 3. Now start arranging your festive Christmas wreath charcuterie board. Lay the orange and pomegranate slices along the edges of the board.
- 4. Set the basil sprigs, strawberries, and bowls with sprinkles, honey, jam, and caramel in between the orange and pomegranate slices.
- 5. Fold the ham and salami into ham and salami roses and put it on the board. Place blueberries, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese in a circle. Leave the middle of the board empty.
- 6. Bring cream cheese to room temperature. Blend soft cream cheese with chopped fresh herbs and add a few spoons to the board as shown in the picture.
- 7. Roll cheddar cheese slices into tubes and place at the edges of the board.
- 8. As a final step, decorate the board with fresh rosemary sprigs.
- It's time to showcase your creation to family and friends!
