Christmas Cheese Ball

This Christmas Cheese Ball combines cream cheese with sharp cheddar, blue cheese, cooked crumbled bacon, green onions, pecans, and dried cranberries for a rich and textured flavor. Rolled in an outer layer of similar ingredients, it makes a festive appetizer served with crackers. The mixture is chilled to firm up and allow flavors to meld.

Description

The Christmas Cheese Ball is prepared by thoroughly mixing softened cream cheese with shredded cheddar, crumbled blue cheese, cooked and crumbled bacon, sliced green onions, chopped pecans, and dried cranberries. The mixture is shaped into a ball or log and chilled for at least one hour to allow firming and flavor blending.

The outside is coated by tossing additional green onions, pecans, cranberries, and bacon together and rolling the chilled cheese ball in this mixture to create a colorful and textured exterior. This contrasts with the creamy and tangy interior cheeses and the savory bacon pieces.

This cheese ball is served chilled alongside crackers for spreading or slicing and is suitable as an appetizer or party snack during the holidays.
