Christmas Party Popcorn

Delicious white chocolate popcorn with Christmas cherries and pecans. The centerpiece snack of your next Christmas party!

Ingredients

  • 8 cups Popcorn popped from about 1/2 cup kernels
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips melted; or candy melts
  • 1 cup candied cherries red and green, chopped, Christmas style
  • 1 cup pecan halves toasted
  • 2 tablespoons Sprinkles red, green and white; non pareils; optional

Instructions

  1. Clean the popcorn of all kernels carefully. 
  2. Sprinkle the salt over top evenly and place in a large bowl.
  3. In a large microwave safe dish, melt the chocolate on medium heat, stopping the microwave every 30 seconds to stir. Microwave until smooth.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn, stirring to coat evenly. 
  5. Add in the pecans, cherries and sprinkles (optional). Stir until evenly mixed. 
  6. Spread the popcorn out onto parchment lined baking sheets in one layer.
  7. Place it in the fridge or somewhere cool. Let harden, then break apart and place into a bowl to serve.
