Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board
Description
This Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board is designed to look like a festive evergreen, starting with a base layer of cheddar cheese cubes arranged on a large cutting board. Layers of red grapes, crackers, folded salami slices, mozzarella cubes, cherry tomatoes, green grapes, and black olives are stacked in descending order to create a tree shape. Prosciutto pieces are gently folded and placed at the top as the tree's point.
The variety of ingredients provides a range of flavors and textures: the salty cheese and meats balance the sweet grapes and tomatoes, while the crackers and pretzel sticks add crunch. Fresh rosemary sprigs placed along the layers add visual interest and a subtle aromatic note. The pretzel sticks form the base or
Ingredients
- 8 ounce cheddar cheese cut into cubes, block
- 1 red grapes heaping cup
- 20-25 crackers like Ritz, round
- 5 ounces salami
- 8 ounce mozzarella cheese cut into cubes, block
- 1 cherry tomatoes heaping cup
- 1 green grapes heaping cup
- 1 cup black olives drained
- 3 ounces prosciutto
- 1/2 cup pretzels mini sticks
- rosemary for garnish, fresh sprigs
Instructions
- Arrange the cheddar cheese on the bottom of a large cutting board, leaving about 2 inches of space at the bottom for the pretzel sticks.
- Next, arrange the red grapes above the cheddar, creating descending layers.
- Add the crackers. Then fold each of the salami slices in half, then in half again, and arrange them in a ruffle pattern above the crackers. Use toothpicks to hold the salami slices together if needed.
- Next, layer the mozzarella cubes, followed by the cherry tomatoes.
- Add the green grapes and then the black olives to the board, continuing in the descending pattern.
- Gently fold 4-5 pieces of the prosciutto at the very top to form the point of the tree. Tuck the pretzels under the cheddar cheese to form the trunk of the tree. Place the rosemary along the layer lines however you like to add more dimension to the board.
- Serve immediately, filling in any empty spots with extra ingredients as it starts to get eaten.
Notes
- Serve the charcuterie board immediately for best freshness and flavor.
- If preparing ahead, cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to two hours before serving.
- Prepping the ingredients in advance speeds up assembly time.
- Use toothpicks to secure folded salami slices if needed.
- Keep extra ingredients handy to refill the board as guests eat.
