Christmas Tree Mini Pizzas

Christmas Tree Mini Pizzas are small puff pastry cutouts shaped like evergreen trees, topped with pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and green pepper slices, then baked until golden and puffed. Their size and festive shape make them charming appetizers or snacks during holiday gatherings.

Description

This recipe uses thawed puff pastry rolled out and cut with a tree-shaped cutter into small individual pizzas. Each tree is topped with pizza sauce, grated cheese, slices of pepperoni or similar sausage snack sticks, and fresh green pepper pieces. The pizzas bake at 400°F until the pastry is puffed and golden brown, about 10 minutes.

The puff pastry base becomes flaky and crisp while the toppings melt and meld seasoning and textures. The pepperoni and green pepper add savory and fresh notes. The small size suits finger food occasions and holiday entertaining.

These mini pizzas can be adapted with different toppings or sauces, and the pastry will naturally puff then slightly deflate after baking. They're best enjoyed warm shortly after baking and work well for festive snacks or light meals.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 10 ounces puff pastry sheet thawed
  • 4 Tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 4.5 ounces cheese grated
  • 3 pepperoni snack sticks or any other sausage snack sticks
  • 1 green pepper
  • flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle flour on cutting board. Place puffy pastry on surface and roll out into rectangle. Use a tree cookie cutter to cut out as many trees as possible out of your pastry sheet.
  2. Place them onto a baking tray lined with baking paper or silicone mat. Spread pizza sauce over, sprinkle with some cheese and top with a few slices of pepperoni and pepper.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  4. Best served right away.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize topping ingredients to your preference within the small size constraints.
  • Pesto is a good alternative sauce if you prefer a different flavor profile.
  • The puff pastry may slightly deflate after baking; this is normal.
  • The tree cutter used in this recipe is approximately 3 inches long and 2.4 inches at its widest point.
