Christmas White Sangria
Description
This white sangria blends dry white wine, brandy, and white peach cranberry juice with seasonal fruit and aromatic spices. Apple slices, orange, cranberries, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and rosemary infuse the liquid during refrigeration, allowing flavors to meld thoroughly. The mixture is chilled for at least one hour, preferably 24 hours, before serving.
The cold steeping develops a balance of sweetness, light acidity, and spice notes. Adding sparkling water at the moment of serving adds refreshing bubbles without diluting the flavor during storage. Garnishing with extra fruit and herbs enhances presentation.
This cocktail fits well alongside holiday gatherings, complementing festive meals or serving as a celebratory drink. The recipe advises preparing sangria in advance for best flavor, storing without sparkling water for up to 3 days. Avoid leaving it at room temperature longer than two hours to maintain freshness and safety.
Using sparkling white wine instead of still wine can add extra sparkle, but the sangria should then be served immediately to preserve bubbles.
