Cilantro Lime Chicken Burgers

These chicken burgers combine ground chicken with fresh lime juice and zest, chopped onion, cilantro, and spices for a flavorful patty. Cooked on a skillet or grill pan until fully done, they feature a citrus-herb profile and tender texture. Served on hamburger buns with customizable toppings like avocado or jalapeños, these burgers offer a fresh, zingy alternative to traditional beef patties.

Description

Cilantro Lime Chicken Burgers are made by mixing ground chicken with lime juice and zest, minced onion, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to blend aromatic and citrus notes into the meat. The mixture is shaped into uniform patties to ensure even cooking. Cooking is done in a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat, allowing the chicken burgers to cook fully through while maintaining juiciness and tenderness.

The lime and cilantro infuse each burger with fresh, bright flavors complemented by mild onion and garlic seasonings. The texture is tender yet firm enough to hold a bun and desired toppings. These burgers can be served on whole wheat, gluten-free, or lettuce buns according to preference, with toppings such as avocado, red onion, jalapeño slices, ketchup, or avocado oil mayonnaise added for varied flavor and texture contrasts.

This recipe suits casual meals, providing a lighter poultry option that still delivers pronounced flavors thanks to fresh herbs and lime. Preparation is straightforward, requiring only simple mixing and pan-cooking steps. Serving immediately after cooking preserves the best texture and temperature.
