Cilantro Lime Dressing

Cilantro Lime Dressing combines fresh cilantro, lime juice, garlic, cumin, and a touch of honey into a bright, herbaceous emulsion with olive or canola oil. This dressing offers a balanced mix of acidity, herbal brightness, and subtle sweetness, complemented by the earthy warmth of cumin. It’s versatile for salads or as a drizzle over grilled foods, adding a fresh and tangy character.

Description

Cilantro Lime Dressing blends packed fresh cilantro leaves and stems with freshly squeezed lime juice, minced garlic, honey for slight sweetness, ground cumin for warmth, and apple cider vinegar for acidity. The mixture is emulsified with olive or canola oil, resulting in a smooth, flavorful dressing. The use of both the cilantro leaves and stems ensures a robust herbal flavor throughout.

The flavor profile balances tangy citrus and vinegar highlights with the subtle sweetness of honey and the earthy spice of cumin. The garlic adds pungency without overpowering the other ingredients. This dressing works well as a salad dressing, marinade, or topping for tacos and grilled vegetables.

Seasoning with salt and pepper at the end allows adjustment to taste. The dressing can be refrigerated for up to one week, making it convenient to prepare in advance. For added creaminess, half an avocado can be blended in. This dressing lends a fresh, vibrant note to a variety of dishes.
