Cinnamon Roll Sweet Potato pie

This Cinnamon Roll Sweet Potato Pie Recipe is absolutely amazing. you have never had a pie this good, and after trying this version, you might never want to make it the traditional way. This incredible sweet potato pie is topped with cinnamon rolls to make this a decadent treat you will crave all year round.

Ingredients

  • 1 9 inch pie crust pre-made
  • 3 C sweet potato mashed; about 4-6 medium to large
  • 1/2 C unsalted butter melted
  • 3 egg large, room temperature
  • 1/3 C light brown sugar
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1/2 C sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 C evaporated milk
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 3 tsp orange zest grated
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure

Topping ingredients

  • 1 5.7 cinnamon roll package
  • ½ C caramel sauce salted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Poke the sweet potatoes with a fork and bake for 40 minutes or until tender.
  3. Let cool, then peel and remove any dark spots.
  4. In a standing mixture, beat the sweet potatoes, butter, eggs, sugars, milk, and all the spices until combined and smooth
  5. Pour the pie filling into the pre-made pie crust
  6. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes or until set.
  7. Remove from oven and place onto a cooling rack to cool to room temp.
  8. Once cooled, place pie into the fridge for overnight
  9. Remove cinnamon rolls from can and place onto a parchment lined cookie sheet
  10. Following the directions on the pan, bake the cinnamon rolls as recommended
  11. Once they are baked, allow to cool for 5 minutes before placing them onto the top of the sweet potato pie
  12. Pour the salted caramel sauce into the disposable piping bag
  13. Cut the tip off and drizzle the sauce over the pie
  14. Cut and serve
  15. Enjoy!
