Cinnamon Roll Ups

Cinnamon Roll Ups are made from crescent roll dough brushed with butter, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, then rolled and baked until golden. A cream cheese glaze tops them, adding a smooth sweetness. These bite-sized pastries have a soft, flaky texture with a warm cinnamon flavor, making them a convenient treat or breakfast option without needing yeast or long rising times.

Description

Cinnamon Roll Ups use refrigerated crescent roll dough that is separated into triangles, brushed with melted butter, and evenly coated with cinnamon sugar. Rolled from the wide end toward the pointed tip, the dough forms small spirals that bake quickly at high heat until golden brown. During baking, the butter and cinnamon sugar meld, creating a soft, slightly crisp pastry with a fragrant cinnamon aroma.

Once out of the oven, a glaze made from softened cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk is drizzled over the warm roll ups. This adds a creamy, tangy contrast to the warm cinnamon flavor and enriches the soft crumb. The rolls are best served while warm to enjoy their tender texture and melting glaze.

This recipe yields 16 roll ups, with a typical serving considered three pieces. They pair well with coffee or tea and are suitable for sharing at brunch or as a sweet snack.
