Cinnamon Streusel Bread

This Cinnamon Streusel Bread blends a tender, buttermilk-based batter with a cinnamon-sugar swirl inside and a crumbly cinnamon streusel topping. The loaf bakes to a golden crust with a soft crumb and sweet-spiced layers. The contrast between the moist bread and crunchy streusel topping highlights the cinnamon flavor, making it an inviting breakfast or snack bread.

Description

The Cinnamon Streusel Bread combines a moist batter made from buttermilk, egg, and canola oil with dry ingredients like flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Half the batter is layered with a cinnamon sugar mixture, then topped with the remaining batter and gently swirled to create a marbled effect. The streusel topping introduces a crumbly texture with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour mixed to form small chunks that bake crisp atop the loaf.

Baked at 350°F in a loaf pan, the bread emerges golden with a tender crumb inside and a spiced crunch above. The interplay between the layers and topping delivers a classic cinnamon flavor throughout. It pairs well with butter or cream cheese for breakfast or afternoon tea.
