Cinnamon Sugar Air Fryer Donut Holes
Description
Cinnamon Sugar Air Fryer Donut Holes are made by quartering jumbo refrigerated biscuit dough and air frying the pieces until golden brown and cooked through. Once air fried, the pieces are tossed in melted butter followed by a cinnamon-sugar coating, creating a sweet, slightly crispy bite with a tender interior. The method carefully spaces biscuit quarters to avoid sticking and cooks them in two batches when needed. The combination of cinnamon and sugar with butter adds a classic flavor that's simple to prepare using the air fryer, providing a quick treat without traditional deep frying.
The process involves preheating the air fryer, preparing the cinnamon sugar mixture, and tossing the cooked biscuit pieces to ensure even coating and flavor. These donut holes can be served immediately for best texture and flavor, offering a nut-free and straightforward sweet snack option made from pantry staples.
Following the tips ensures the donut holes have a nice golden color and cook evenly. Using cooking spray prevents sticking in the air fryer basket, and keeping batches separate avoids overcrowding, which would affect their final texture.
Ingredients
- 16 ounce biscuit dough refrigerated, jumbo, canned
- ½ cup sugar granulated white
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons butter melted
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a small bowl combine cinnamon and sugar, set aside.
- Cut each biscuit into quarters.
- Spray the Air Fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. Place biscuit quarters in the basket making sure they are not touching or overlapping. You will need to do this in two batches.
- Air fry biscuits for four minutes or until golden brown
- Remove from the Air Fryer, place cooked biscuits in a bowl, drizzle half of the butter over the top and toss to combine until evenly coated in butter.
- Transfer butter covered biscuits to ziploc bag, pour half of cinnamon sugar mix into bag. Seal bag and shake to coat.
- Repeat with remaining biscuits.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking during frying.
- Preheat the air fryer to ensure faster cooking and a more evenly browned exterior.
- Depending on the air fryer size, cook donut holes in batches and keep finished ones warm.
- Arrange biscuit quarters in a single layer to avoid overlapping for even cooking.
