Classic Reuben Sandwich Recipe
Description
This recipe starts by blending mayonnaise, chili garlic sauce, lemon juice, horseradish, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, grated onion, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful Russian dressing. The dressing is spread generously on rye bread.
Corned beef is quickly warmed in oil on medium heat, then layered on the bread along with Swiss cheese slices and drained sauerkraut. The sandwich is assembled with buttered sides of rye bread, then cooked in a hot skillet on medium heat for 4-6 minutes per side until the cheese melts and the bread crisps up.
This sandwich delivers a combination of tender, savory corned beef, the tangy sauerkraut, and creamy dressing with melted, nutty Swiss cheese, all held by toasted rye bread. It's suitable for lunch or a filling snack.
