Cobb Salad with the Best Cobb Salad Dressing

This Cobb Salad features chopped romaine lettuce topped with cooked chicken, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onion, blue cheese, and parsley arranged in rows. The accompanying dressing blends balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper for a tangy, savory finish. The salad's combination of fresh vegetables, protein, and creamy dressing offers a balanced texture and flavor profile suitable for lunch or a light dinner.

Description

The Cobb Salad with the Best Cobb Salad Dressing combines crisp chopped romaine as a base with rows of cooked ingredients including browned bacon, cooked chicken breast, sliced avocado, halved cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, crumbled blue cheese, and quartered hard-boiled eggs. Finely chopped parsley is sprinkled over the top to add a fresh herb note.

The dressing is made by shaking together balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, pressed garlic clove, extra virgin olive oil, and seasonings for a flavorful vinaigrette with a balanced tang and subtle spice. This dressing complements the richness of the bacon and cheese while adding acidity that brightens the salad.

This salad works well as a standalone meal, providing protein and vegetables in a composed format. The ingredients are prepared in advance and arranged neatly on a shallow platter, allowing guests to enjoy the different textures and flavors together or separately.

Using rotisserie or pre-cooked chicken can simplify preparation. Bacon can be cooked by baking, air frying, or sautéing to your preferred crispness then cooled and crumbled for ease of assembly.
