Cod Fish Tacos
Description
Cod Fish Tacos feature firm white fish such as cod, snapper, or mahi mahi seasoned with salt, cumin, and a chili-lime seasoning. The fish is pan cooked with a bit of olive oil until opaque and lightly charred, then flaked into chunks. A crunchy slaw mix of white and red cabbage with shredded carrot is tossed in lime juice and seasoning to complement the fish's mild flavor. A creamy sauce made from Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lime juice, cilantro, and cumin provides a cooling contrast. Corn tortillas are briefly charred over an open flame to add smoky depth and then layered with slaw, fish, and sauce. The lime wedges served alongside add extra brightness. This recipe captures clean, fresh flavors and a mix of tender and crisp textures ideal for a refreshing taco experience.
