Cold Brew Milk Tea
Report
This lightly flavoured milk has been my new favourite way of enjoying milk in the mornings. Inspired by cold brewed tea, this Cold Brew Milk Tea is a fragrant and delicious way of enjoying milk.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup Hojicha leaves or tea leaves of choice
- ½ cup hot water
- 2 cups milk or non-dairy milk of choice
Instructions
- Add the hojicha tea leaves into a large airtight mason jar.
- Add freshly boiled water to the tea. Allow the tea to brew for a minute.
- Add in the milk.
- Store the milk in the fridge overnight. The colour of the milk might change depending on the tea you use but as you can see up above, my hojicha milk tea only darkened slightly.
- When ready to enjoy, strain the tea leaves and drink as is.
Notes
- ½ tablespoon of brown sugar to the tea leaves and hot water. Stir to combine before adding the milk.
- For a sweeter milk tea, add ½ tablespoon of brown sugar to the tea leaves and hot water. Stir to combine before adding the milk.
