Cold Crab Dip
Description
This Cold Crab Dip recipe uses imitation or lump crab meat chopped finely or shredded using a food processor and mixed with chopped celery. Salt and black pepper season the mixture. Mayonnaise and fresh lemon juice are stirred in to bind and add moisture, while fresh dill can be added for an herbal note.
The dip is served cold, highlighting its creamy texture balanced with the crab’s natural sweetness and celery’s crunch. The lemon juice brightens flavors, and dill lends a subtle freshness. It’s ideal as an appetizer or snack and pairs well with crispy crackers or crusty bread.
This preparation does not require cooking and relies on fresh ingredients mixed just before serving. It is simple to assemble and can be adjusted with additional herbs or seasoning to taste.
