Cookie Dough Truffles

Cookie Dough Truffles combine a safe-to-eat cookie dough ball with a smooth chocolate coating. The dough is made using cooked flour to eliminate raw taste, then mixed with butter, sugars, vanilla, salt, and mini chocolate chips. After chilling, the dough balls are dipped in melted semi-sweet chocolate which hardens into a crisp shell. These sweet treats offer a rich, chewy center with a contrasting glossy chocolate exterior that's ideal as bite-sized indulgences or party desserts.

Description

Cookie Dough Truffles start by heat-treating the flour to remove any raw flour flavor or risk, then cooling it. The dough is prepared by creaming softened butter with sugars and vanilla, folding in the cooled flour, salt, and mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. After shaping the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and freezing to firm up, each ball is dipped in melted semi-sweet chocolate and allowed to set. The chocolate coating provides a firm bite that contrasts with the soft, chewy dough inside.

These truffles work well as handheld sweet treats suitable for serving at gatherings or as special snacks. They do not require baking beyond preparing the flour and are best kept chilled until serving to maintain texture.
