Notes

  • Buttermilk Substitution: If you don't have buttermilk on hand, you can make a substitute by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before using.
  • Avocado Ripeness: Use a ripe avocado for the best flavor and texture. It should yield slightly when gently squeezed but not be overly mushy or firm.
  • Blend the dressing until smooth and creamy. Make sure all the ingredients are well incorporated for a uniform texture.
  • Seasoning Adjustments: Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning according to your preference. Add more herbs, spices, lime juice, or salt as needed to enhance the flavor to your liking.
  • Chilling Time: For optimal results, refrigerate the dressing for several hours or overnight before using. This allows the flavors to meld together and the dressing to thicken.
  • Storage: Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can typically be kept for up to a week. Give it a good stir before each use, as separation may occur.
