Copycat Chick Fil A Chicken Nuggets

Copycat Chick Fil A Chicken Nuggets are made by marinating bite-sized chicken breast pieces in pickle juice, then coating them in a milk and egg wash, followed by a seasoned flour and powdered sugar dredge before frying in peanut oil. The result is a crispy, flavorful fried chicken nugget that mimics the original chain’s signature taste and texture.

Description

This recipe begins by soaking chicken breast cubes in pickle juice for an hour, infusing tartness and tenderizing the meat. After draining, the chicken is dipped into a mixture of whole milk and egg to moisten the surface. It is then coated thoroughly with a dry blend of flour, powdered sugar, salt, and black pepper, which contributes to a slightly sweet and crisp crust.

Peanut oil is heated in a skillet to the proper temperature, tested by sizzling a pinch of flour. Nuggets are fried in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. The oil is allowed to drain off on paper towels before serving.

The nuggets are designed to be served hot with a complementary dipping sauce like homemade Chick Fil A sauce. The marinade and powdered sugar in the coating distinguish this recipe from other fried chicken, providing a subtly sweet and tangy profile that matches the fast-food original.
