Copycat Chick-fil-A Frosted Lemonade
Description
The recipe begins by dissolving sugar into fresh lemon juice and cold water to create a homemade lemonade with bright, tangy flavor. After chilling the lemonade to cool it thoroughly, a portion is blended with vanilla ice cream until smooth, forming a creamy frosted consistency reminiscent of the Chick-fil-A original.
The resulting drink is both tart and sweet with the richness of vanilla ice cream, making it a refreshing treat especially suited to warm weather. Serving it immediately preserves the frosted texture, though it can be stored covered in the freezer for a day or two.
Ingredients
- 1 cup lemon juice fresh squeezed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water cold
- 6 cups vanilla ice cream approximately 12 scoops
Instructions
- Mix together the lemon juice and sugar in a pitcher or a mixing bowl until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the water.
- Chill the homemade lemonade for at least 1 hour.
- Then add 1 cup of the lemonade and 2 cups of the ice cream to a blender.
- Blend until smooth. Pour into a cup and serve with lemon slices (optional).
Notes
- Bottled lemon juice can be used instead of fresh; increase amount to 1 ½ cups if substituting.
- Serve the frosted lemonade immediately for best texture and flavor.
- Store leftovers covered in the freezer for up to one to two days.
