Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick seasoned salt
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon horseradish
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together and serve in the middle of the onion blossom. Garnish with paprika and just a dash of red pepper.
Notes
- Chill before serving - The sauce tastes significantly better after the flavors have had time to blend in the refrigerator
- Adjust the heat - Feel free to increase or decrease the cayenne and horseradish to customize the spice level
- Make ahead - This sauce actually improves after a day in the refrigerator, making it perfect for preparation in advance
- Quality matters - Use real mayonnaise rather than salad dressing for the best flavor and texture
- Fresh is best - If possible, use freshly ground black pepper for more vibrant flavor
