Copycat KFC Coleslaw Recipe
Description
This coleslaw combines finely chopped cabbage and carrot, processed for a fine texture similar to the original. The dressing blends buttermilk and milk for creaminess, white vinegar and fresh lemon juice for brightness and acidity, mayonnaise for richness, and sugar for a subtle sweetness balanced with salt and pepper.
After tossing the cabbage mixture with the dressing, chilling for at least 30 minutes allows flavors to meld and texture to slightly soften while keeping some crunch. The finely minced onion adds mild pungency without overpowering.
This coleslaw pairs well with fried chicken or barbecue dishes and can serve as a refreshing side for picnics or casual meals. Its balance of creamy, tangy, and sweet elements offers classic comfort alongside savory mains.
