Cottage Cheese Egg Bake
Description
This egg bake integrates ground breakfast sausage that is browned and cooled before being folded into a smooth blend of eggs and cottage cheese. Garlic and onion powder along with pepper and salt add savory seasoning to the custard base. Fresh chopped spinach and quartered cherry tomatoes contribute color and lightness to the dish.
After mixing, the casserole is poured into a prepared baking pan and baked at 350°F for around 40 minutes until fully set. The texture is creamy and cohesive, balancing the richness of sausage and dairy with the freshness of vegetables.
This easy-to-make bake serves well as a protein-packed breakfast or brunch centerpiece. Slices can be cut and enjoyed warm, offering a nutritious meal component that holds well as leftovers.
