Country Style Pork Ribs Recipe

This recipe for Country Style Pork Ribs features ribs boiled in a seasoned broth with Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to infuse flavor and tenderize the meat. After boiling, the ribs are coated with a generous amount of barbecue sauce, then baked low and slow to create tender, flavorful meat with a rich glaze. The finishing broil caramelizes the barbecue sauce, adding texture and depth. This method yields ribs that balance smokiness with sweetness and a tender bite, ideal for a hearty main course.

Description

Country Style Pork Ribs are first simmered in a flavorful broth that includes Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke, enhancing their depth of flavor while making the meat tender. The addition of garlic powder, salt, and black pepper seasons the ribs throughout the cooking process. After boiling for about 50 minutes, the ribs are brushed with barbecue sauce and baked at a low temperature until fully cooked and tender, allowing the sauce to meld with the ribs.

The final broiling step caramelizes the barbecue sauce, creating a slightly crispy exterior that contrasts with the moist interior of the ribs. This recipe uses Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce, which adds a recognizable sweet and tangy flavor profile to the dish. The preparation involves straightforward steps that focus on building layers of flavor through boiling, baking, and broiling.

These ribs make a satisfying main dish suitable for casual dinners. They pair well with traditional barbecue sides or simple salads. Following the cooking times ensures the ribs are tender and fully cooked, with a final internal temperature of 160°F as recommended to ensure safety and juiciness.
