Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
Description
This recipe uses cleaned white button mushrooms with their stems removed to create cavities for the crab mixture. The filling blends finely chopped onion and red bell pepper with crab meat, Gruyere cheese, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper, mixing flavors carefully. The mushrooms are filled, sprinkled with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs, and baked at 350°F until cooked through and nicely browned on top.
The result is a tender mushroom base supporting a creamy, flavorful crab filling with mild heat from Old Bay and a crispy topping from the panko breadcrumbs and melted Gruyere. These are well-suited as an appetizer or party finger food.
