Description
This dip starts by mixing softened cream cheese with sour cream, mayonnaise, half of the ranch seasoning mix, and garlic powder to create a smooth base. The remaining ranch mix, shredded cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and sliced green onions are folded in to incorporate their texture and flavor. Chilling for at least an hour helps the ingredients blend, enhancing the ranch flavor and chewing texture of cheese and bacon.
The dip is rich and creamy with a pleasant tang from the ranch and sour cream, smoky bacon crunch, sharp cheddar cheese, and fresh bite from green onions. It pairs well with crackers, chips, or vegetable sticks as an appetizer or snack.
Adjust ranch seasoning to taste if more intense flavor or less saltiness is preferred. Using homemade ranch mix can reduce sodium. The dip holds well in the fridge for serving later once chilled.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 ounce ranch seasoning mix *note

- ⅓ cup bacon bits or 6 slices cooked and crumbled

Instructions
- In a medim bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, half of the ranch mix, and garlic powder with a mixer on medium speed.
- Fold in the remaining ingredients. Taste and add more ranch mix if desired.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
