Cracker Barrel Broccoli Cheese Casserole
Description
Cracker Barrel Broccoli Cheese Casserole combines broccoli florets with a creamy sauce made from cream of chicken soup, milk, and melted American cheese, gently cooked together to melt the cheese and soften the broccoli. This mixture is poured over a bed of cooked rice in a baking dish, creating a hearty base. Shredded Colby cheese adds another layer of mild cheddar flavor on top.
The topping of crushed Ritz crackers mixed with melted butter forms a crispy, golden crust when baked at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes, offering a pleasing textural contrast to the soft casserole beneath. The overall dish is creamy and savory with subtle poultry undertones from the soup, balanced by the cheesy richness of the two types of cheese.
This casserole is practical for dinner menus and pairs well with roasted or grilled meats. It can serve as a comforting side dish that incorporates vegetables and starch in one dish, suitable for casual family meals or potlucks.
