Description

The Cracker Barrel Hash Brown Casserole is a baked dish combining thawed shredded hash browns with a creamy mixture of melted unsalted butter, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Chopped yellow onions and shredded cheddar cheese provide layers of flavor and texture. The mixture is seasoned with kosher salt and coarse black pepper to enhance the dish’s savory profile. Baking at 350 degrees allows the top to brown and cheese to melt, producing a hot, creamy, and slightly crisp casserole.

The casserole results in a tender interior of hash browns softened by the creamy ingredients balanced with melted cheddar. The onions add subtle sweetness and texture variation. This dish makes a rich side suitable for breakfast or a comforting accompaniment to lunch or dinner. Its simple ingredients and straightforward method provide a satisfying homestyle flavor interaction.
