Cranberry Mule

The Cranberry Mule is a cocktail blending tart unsweetened cranberry juice, spicy ginger beer, spiced rum, and simple syrup. Served over ice in a copper mug and garnished with sugared cranberries, it offers a refreshing balance of tart, sweet, and warm spice notes. This festive drink is a seasonal variation on the classic mule, highlighting cranberry’s tang and ginger’s lively bite.

Description

This Cranberry Mule combines 2 ounces of cranberry juice (unsweetened), 3 ounces of ginger beer, 1½ ounces spiced rum, and 1 ounce simple syrup shaken with ice. The ingredients are poured over ice in a copper mug and garnished with sugared cranberries for a touch of sweetness and visual appeal.

The use of unsweetened cranberry juice ensures the cocktail maintains a bright tartness balanced by the sweetness of the syrup and the spice of the rum and ginger beer. Serving over ice keeps the drink chilled and refreshing.

This cocktail works well for holiday gatherings or anytime a fruity, spicy mixed drink is desired. Prepping sugared cranberries in advance adds extra time but enhances presentation. The recipe’s scale can be adjusted for batches served from a pitcher.
