Cranberry Orange Whiskey Cocktail
Description
This cocktail is made by shaking cranberry juice, orange juice, whiskey, lemon juice, triple sec, simple syrup, and fresh thyme or rosemary with ice to chill and blend the flavors evenly. The shaken mixture is then strained over ice into glasses and topped with ginger beer for a fizzy finish. Garnishes including frozen cranberries, a twist of orange peel, and additional herb sprigs add visual appeal and a fresh herbal aroma.
The flavor profile offers tart fruit notes balanced with sweetness and botanical hints from the spirit and herbs, while the ginger beer provides a subtle spice and effervescence. The drink is suitable for serving at parties or casual gatherings and can be prepared in larger batches using a pitcher for convenience.
Multiplying the recipe for larger quantities requires an adequately sized pitcher and refrigeration to keep the mixture fresh. Ginger beer and garnishes are added just before serving to maintain carbonation and freshness.
