Cranberry Pecan Baked Brie
Description
This recipe prepares an 8-ounce wheel of brie by trimming the rind slightly and baking it until soft but still holding its shape. A brown sugar layer placed on top caramelizes during baking. Meanwhile, a maple honey drizzle is made by simmering together brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and fresh orange zest. Chopped pecans and dried cranberries are stirred in to add crunch and bursts of tartness.
The warm brie is topped with this nutty, fruity drizzle before serving, creating a contrast between the creamy melted cheese and the textured sweet topping. It is ideal served immediately with crackers or bread to scoop up the soft cheese and syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 Brie cheese 8-ounce wheel, rind trimmed
