Cranberry Salsa Recipe

This Cranberry Salsa blends fresh or frozen cranberries with cilantro, green onion, jalapeño, lime juice, sugar, and garlic salt into a chunky condiment using a food processor. It's bright, tangy, slightly spicy, and sweet, ideal for topping cream cheese or serving with crackers as a fresh, flavorful appetizer.

Description

The Cranberry Salsa Recipe combines tart cranberries with fresh cilantro, green onions, and a minced jalapeño pepper for a mildly spicy kick. Lime juice adds acidity and brightness while sugar balances the tartness, and garlic salt adds a savory note. Pulsing the ingredients in a food processor produces a medium-textured salsa that's chunky but well combined. This salsa can be served at room temperature, often poured over a block of cream cheese and paired with crackers for a festive appetizer. If not serving immediately, refrigeration helps preserve freshness.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 12 oz cranberries fresh or frozen, bagged
  • 1 bunch cilantro chopped, fresh
  • 1 bunch green onion cut into 3 inch length
  • 1 jalapeno pepper seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Fit your food processor with a medium blade. Add the cranberries, cilantro, green onion, jalapeno pepper, lime juice, sugar, and garlic salt to the food processor. Pulse until you get a medium blend.
  2. Serve at room temperature. We love to pour this over a block of cream cheese and scoop it up with crackers.
  3. Refrigerate if you are not going be serving right away.
