Cream Cheese Blueberry Bread

Cream Cheese Blueberry Bread is a tender loaf that combines cream cheese and butter for a rich, moist texture. Fresh blueberries are tossed in flour before folding into the batter, preventing them from sinking and spreading their juice evenly. The baking powder and salt balance the sweetness and add a light rise, resulting in a golden crust and soft crumb. It's an ideal treat for breakfast or a snack when you want a sweet, fruity bread with creamy accents.

Description

The Cream Cheese Blueberry Bread features softened cream cheese and butter creamed together with sugar and eggs to create a rich foundation. Tossing the fresh blueberries in a bit of flour before adding them keeps them suspended throughout the batter during baking. The dry ingredients of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt provide structure and leavening, contributing to the bread's light rise and tender crumb. Baking in loaf pans at 350°F for about 45 minutes yields a golden crust around a soft, flavorful interior speckled with juicy blueberries.

This bread works well sliced for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon tea snack. It delivers both fruit sweetness and creamy richness in each bite. It can be served plain or with a smear of butter or cream cheese to complement its texture and flavor.
