Cream Cheese Pasta Sauce
Description
The sauce starts by gently sautéing minced garlic in butter until fragrant, then dried basil and onion powder are added to build foundational flavors. Cubed cream cheese is melted into the mixture to create a thick, creamy base. Adding chicken broth gradually thins the sauce to a pourable consistency, simmering to develop flavor and achieve a slight thickening.
Once removed from heat, grated Parmesan cheese is stirred in, adding a sharp, salty note that balances the creaminess. Adjustments with salt and black pepper tailor the taste further. The sauce is then spooned generously over cooked pasta, resulting in a smooth, rich dish that highlights mild garlic and herb aromatics alongside the softness of cream cheese.
Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for several days or frozen for longer storage, making it a practical choice for making ahead or batch preparation. Reheating gently helps maintain its creamy texture without separation.
