Creamy Carrot Soup

Creamy Carrot Soup uses sautéed carrots, onion, and garlic seasoned with chili powder, cumin, and ginger, cooked in vegetable broth until soft and blended until smooth. Heavy cream enriches the soup, creating a velvety texture and warming spice notes. It’s served garnished with cream and herbs if desired.

Description

This Creamy Carrot Soup begins by softening chopped carrots and onions in avocado oil or butter, developing sweetness and depth. Garlic and warming spices including chili powder, cumin, and ginger add aromatic layers to the base before vegetable broth is added for simmering and softening the vegetables thoroughly.

After cooking until tender, an immersion blender purées the mixture to a smooth consistency, turning it into a creamy puree without lumps. Stirring in heavy cream adds richness and balances the spices, resulting in a velvety texture and gentle heat. The soup is brought just to a simmer before finishing the cooking.

The result is a smooth, subtly spiced carrot soup with mild warmth from the spices and a touch of sweetness from the carrots. It can be garnished with additional cream swirls or fresh herbs for presentation. This soup provides a comforting starter or light meal choice.
