Creamy Chicken Alfredo Dip
Description
This dip starts by making a roux of butter and flour cooked with minced garlic, then mixing in milk and cream cheese to form a smooth, creamy sauce. Incorporating shredded chicken gives the dip hearty protein, while mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses add layers of creamy, melted richness and flavor. Italian seasoning along with salt and black pepper provide balanced savory notes.
Baked at 350°F until golden and bubbling, the top layer of mozzarella forms a lightly crisp, cheesy crust contrasting the rich interior. The dip serves well warm alongside crunchy crostini, broccoli, and other fresh vegetables, making it a satisfying appetizer or snack. The garlic and cheeses meld to create a familiar Alfredo flavor profile adapted into a shareable dip.
The method and ingredients allow using pre-cooked rotisserie chicken, making the preparation straightforward. This recipe also benefits from gradual baking to develop a lightly browned top while keeping the interior creamy. Serving suggestions emphasize pairing with crunchy foods for textural contrast.
