Creamy Guacamole Recipe

Creamy Guacamole blends ripe avocados with finely diced purple onion, sour cream, and freshly squeezed lime juice for a smooth and tangy dip. Seasoned with Tabasco, salt, and pepper, this guacamole has a balanced richness and a subtle kick. It pairs well with grilled proteins, steamed vegetables, or as a classic accompaniment to chips and salsa.

Description

The Creamy Guacamole Recipe combines soft, ripe avocados pureed with finely diced red onion and sour cream, which adds body and a mild tang. Lime juice brightens the flavors while Tabasco introduces a gentle heat, balanced by sea salt flakes and black pepper to taste. The mixture is processed until smooth, creating a luscious texture.

This guacamole's creamy profile contrasts nicely with grilled fish or chicken when dolloped on top with additional fresh ingredients like chopped tomato and coriander. It also serves well alongside steamed vegetables, chili con carne, or classic corn chips and salsa for dipping.

To maintain freshness, storing the guacamole in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface helps prevent browning. This preparation emphasizes a creamy, balanced guacamole suitable for diverse serving options.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 avocado ripe, should give slightly to a gentle squeeze
  • 1 purple onion diced very finely, small
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 lime juice only
  • Tabasco sauce
  • sea salt flakes
  • black pepper grinded

Instructions

  1. Halve the avocadoes, remove the pits and scoop out the flesh.
  2. Chop flesh roughly and place in a food processor.
  3. Add the onion, the lime juice, the sour cream, a few drops of Tabasco, season with salt and pepper and puree on high until smooth.
  4. Taste for seasoning.
  5. If not using right away store in an airtight container with a layer of plastic film stuck to the surface of the guacamole to prevent the air oxidizing the surface.
  6. Dollop on top of grilled fish or chicken with a little chopped tomato flesh and fresh coriander (cilantro), or serve with freshly steamed vegetables, chilli con carne, rice and of course corn chips and salsa.
