Creamy Mushroom Pork Chops

Creamy Mushroom Pork Chops features pork chops seared and then cooked in a skillet with sliced onions, brown mushrooms, and condensed cream of mushroom soup, creating a rich and savory sauce. The pork remains tender while the sauce adds moisture and earthy mushroom flavor.

Description

This recipe begins by seasoning pork chops with salt, pepper, and thyme before searing them in a skillet to develop a browned crust. Sliced yellow onions and brown mushrooms are briefly cooked until the onions become translucent, building layers of flavor in the pan.

Condensed cream of mushroom soup is then added over the pork and vegetables, and the skillet is covered and simmered on medium-low heat to finish cooking. This technique results in juicy pork chops with a creamy mushroom sauce that coats the meat and vegetables.

The dish is straightforward to prepare and offers a comforting, hearty meal with a balance of savory pork and the umami from the mushroom sauce. It can be served with sides like mashed potatoes or rice to absorb the sauce.
