Ingredients

Servings

Oat Milk Hot Chocolate

  • 4 cups oat milk unsweetened
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powdered
  • 3 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Whipped Coconut Cream

  • 400 mls coconut cream ( 1 can, refrigerated)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, add oat milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt.
  2. Cook the mixture on medium-low heat. Stir regularly to prevent burning and ensure the chocolate chips melt evenly for about 5 minutes. Don't let it boil.

Preparing the coconut cream (optional)

  1. Open a chilled can of coconut cream without shaking. Scoop out the solid cream from the top.
  2. Whip the coconut cream in a bowl using a mixer for 30 seconds. then slowly add in the powdered sugar. Whip until it's fluffy with soft peaks, but be careful not to overdo it, about 1-2 minutes total.
  3. Pour hot chocolate into mugs, top with whipped cream, and garnish as desired.
