Creamy Salsa Ranch

Creamy Salsa Ranch dressing mixes smooth blended salsa with mayonnaise, milk, ranch seasoning, and lime juice to create a tangy, well-balanced dressing. It has a smooth, slightly creamy texture that works well as a dip or a salad dressing, offering a mild heat and citrus brightness from lime.

Description

This recipe begins by pureeing salsa until smooth, providing a consistent base free of chunks. It is then combined thoroughly with mayonnaise, whole milk, ranch seasoning, fresh or bottled lime juice, and a pinch of black pepper to round out flavor. The dressing is chilled for at least an hour, allowing the flavors to meld and the texture to become uniformly creamy.

The resulting dressing is versatile, suitable for drizzling over salads, using as a dipping sauce for vegetables or chips, or adding zest to various dishes. Its volume and mild flavor profile make it suitable for group servings and casual entertaining.

The recipe yields approximately 2.5 to 3 cups and can serve around 20 people when portioned at two tablespoons each. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to seven days, maintaining freshness and flavor.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 3/4 cup salsa use your favorite
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 - 1 cup milk whole
  • 1 oz packet ranch seasoning
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice fresh or bottled
  • pinch black pepper

Instructions

Blend salsa

  1. Add the salsa to a food processor or blender and process until it’s as smooth as you’d like. I like mine to be pretty smooth so I end up with a smooth dressing.

Combine and chill

  1. To a mixing bowl, add mayo, milk, pureed salsa, ranch seasoning, lime juice, and black pepper. Whisk to combine well.
  2. Transfer to an airtight container (mason jar, etc), cover, and chill for at least 1 hour.

Serve

  1. Serve cold and enjoy!

Notes

  • The recipe yields about 2.5 to 3 cups, enough to serve roughly 20 people with 2 tablespoons per serving.
  • Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to seven days to maintain freshness.
