Creamy Spring Onion and Radish Dip

Creamy Spring Onion and Radish Dip blends sour cream, mayonnaise, thinly sliced radishes, and chopped green onions into a fresh and tangy dip. The radishes provide a crisp texture and peppery bite, balanced by the smooth, cool base. Finished with black pepper and a garnish of green onions, this versatile dip pairs well with crackers, chips, bread, or vegetables.

Description

This dip is made by combining sour cream, mayonnaise, and salt with very thinly sliced radishes and finely chopped green onions. Using both the white and green parts of the onions adds mild onion flavor and freshness. Mixing the ingredients well allows the flavors and textures to meld evenly.

Chilling the dip before serving helps the flavors develop and keeps the radishes crisp. It can be served with a variety of dippers like crackers, chips, bread, or fresh vegetable crudité. The creaminess of the base contrasts with the crunch and slight spice from the radishes, making it a light yet flavorful option.

A mandoline slicer can be used to achieve thin radish slices, though a sharp knife works adequately as well. The recipe can accommodate substitutions to reduce fat content by replacing some sour cream or mayonnaise with plain yogurt.
