Creamy Tomatillo Dressing

Ingredients

  • 2 tomatillo green Mexican husk tomatoes, small
  • 1/2 to 1 jalapeno pepper ribs and seeds removed, then chopped, small
  • 1 cup cilantro (measure then chop)
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) Ranch dressing mix hidden valley
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2 garlic minced, cloves
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice fresh

Instructions

  1. Remove husks from tomatillos. Chop into small pieces. Place in blender or food processor.
  2. Add all the other remaining ingredients to the blender. Cover with lid. Blend until combined and smooth.
  3. Pour dressing in a container and cover tightly with lid. Refrigerate at least 2 hours to chill before serving.

Notes

  • Yields: 2 cups dressing
  • Dressing stays good for up to 1 week covered tightly in the refrigerator.
