Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Creamy Tomato Basil Soup combines marinara sauce, Italian diced tomatoes, chicken stock, herbs, Parmesan cheese, and heavy cream to create a flavorful, smooth soup with a rich texture. The tomato base is enriched by fresh basil and cheese, offering a comforting balance of tangy and creamy notes. It's well suited as a warm starter or light meal.

Description

This soup starts with marinara sauce and canned Italian-style diced tomatoes simmered in chicken stock seasoned with oregano, dried basil, black pepper, salt, and garlic powder. After reaching a gentle boil, heavy cream, grated Parmesan, and freshly chopped basil are stirred in to enrich the base with creaminess and cheese flavor.

The result is a velvety, creamy tomato soup that balances the acidity of tomatoes with smooth dairy additions. Fresh basil adds a bright herbal aroma and taste, while the Parmesan lends a subtle savory depth. The soup is cooked over low heat after cream addition to meld flavors gently without curdling.

Creamy Tomato Basil Soup can be served warm with a sprinkle of extra Parmesan on top. It pairs well with crusty bread or grilled cheese sandwiches to complement its richness and provide textural contrast.
