Creamy Turkey and Noodles Recipe

Creamy Turkey and Noodles combines cooked turkey and pasta in a thick, cheesy sauce made from butter, flour, milk, cream soups, and sour cream. Frozen mixed vegetables are incorporated for added texture and color, while Italian cheese melted on top adds richness and a golden finish after baking.

Description

This recipe begins by cooking bowtie pasta to tender. Meanwhile, frozen mixed vegetables cook in butter before a roux is formed with flour. Milk is added and cooked until the mixture thickens into a creamy sauce base. Adding cooked chopped turkey, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper creates a hearty filling with balanced creaminess and savory flavor.

Combining the cooked pasta with the sauce and turkey mixture ensures full coating and an integrated dish. This mixture is baked in a greased pan, then topped with Italian cheese, which melts and browns over the final baking period, adding texture and flavor contrast.

The casserole is served warm, making it suitable for a comforting family meal that reuses cooked turkey and incorporates vegetables. Covering during the initial baking helps retain moisture, and finishing uncovered ensures cheese browning.
