Creamy Turkey and Swiss Pasta

Creamy Turkey and Swiss Pasta combines ground turkey, aromatic vegetables, and Swiss cheese into a rich sauce tossed with penne pasta. The dish features a smooth texture from the cheese and thickened milk-flour mixture, complemented by savory herbs and garlic. Cooking the turkey with onions and peppers builds flavor, while slowly integrating the milk and flour creates a silky coating for the pasta. This satisfying dish works well as a hearty lunch or dinner option.

Description

Creamy Turkey and Swiss Pasta starts with ground turkey cooked with chopped onion and green bell pepper, seasoned with salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic. This creates a flavorful base with tender turkey pieces and softened vegetables. Separately, milk and flour are whisked together and slowly added to the skillet to form a thickened cream sauce.

Once the sauce has thickened, chopped Swiss cheese is stirred in to melt smoothly, enriching the sauce with its mild, nutty flavor. Cooked penne pasta, prepared just short of al dente, is combined with the creamy turkey sauce, allowing each pasta piece to be fully coated.

This pasta dish delivers a comforting texture, balancing the lean protein of turkey with the richness of cheese and cream. It can be served as a standalone meal with a simple salad or steamed greens for a filling weeknight dinner.
