Description
This recipe features whole white button mushrooms coated in a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and dried parsley. Ingredients
- 1¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 ounce Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon parsley dried
- 2 egg white
- 20 white button mushrooms cleaned
Instructions
- Prep oven and baking sheet - Preheat to 450℉ and line baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
- Combine ingredients - In a bowl combine breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, and parsley. In separate bowl, whisk the egg whites.
- Dip your mushrooms - Dip each mushroom in egg whites, then roll mushroom through the breadcrumb mixture, and place on baking sheet.
- Bake - 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy then serve with ranch dressing, marinara or dipping sauce of your choice!
Notes
- Regular breadcrumbs can be used instead of panko if unavailable.
- Serve the mushrooms warm with ranch dressing or marinara sauce.
- To freeze, first freeze breaded mushrooms on a tray until firm, then store in airtight containers or bags for up to 10-12 months.
