Crispy Breaded Pork Chops Recipe
Description
This recipe for Crispy Breaded Pork Chops uses boneless pork chops that are first dried and lightly seasoned with salt and black pepper. The breading combines plain breadcrumbs with kosher salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, celery seed, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, which gives the crust both flavor and a slight nuttiness. Mayonnaise is spread on each side of the pork chops before pressing them into the breading, helping the coating adhere well and adding moisture.
The pork chops are placed on a foil- or parchment-lined baking sheet, sprayed with cooking spray, and baked at 425°F until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F, ensuring the meat stays tender while the crust crisps up. Additionally, instructions for pan-frying and air-frying are included, offering flexibility in cooking methods while maintaining the same seasoned breadcrumb coating and doneness temperature.
This preparation yields pork chops with a crunchy, flavorful crust and a juicy interior. The seasoning mix and Parmesan enhance the depth of flavor but keep it approachable. The recipe is designed to serve four chops and can be doubled if desired.
Make sure the pork chops are dried thoroughly to help the breading adhere better. You can cook the pork chops in a pan with about 1/4 inch of vegetable or peanut oil for 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through, draining excess oil on a wire rack. For air frying, preheat to 400°F, lightly spray the basket and pork, then cook 6 minutes per side or until done. This recipe is scalable; doubling the ingredients works without other adjustments.
