Crispy Salmon with Parmesan Crust

Crispy Salmon with Parmesan Crust features skinless salmon fillets topped with a mixture of almond meal, grated Parmesan, dried herbs, chili flakes, and minced garlic, all brushed with olive oil or butter before baking. The crust becomes golden and crunchy while the salmon cooks to a flaky texture inside. The seasoning blend adds savory, nutty, and mildly spicy notes complemented with fresh lemon wedges for bright acidity on serving.

Description

This recipe prepares salmon fillets by coating them with a crust made from almond meal combined with Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, oregano, chili flakes, and garlic. The salmon is first brushed with olive oil or melted butter mixed with minced garlic and seasoning, which helps the crust adhere and enhances flavor. Baking at 400°F crisps the crust to a golden brown and cooks the fish thoroughly, resulting in a tender and flaky interior with a crisp, flavorful topping.

The Parmesan adds a salty, umami element, while the almond meal contributes a delicate nutty crunch. The dried herbs introduce aromatic notes, and the chili flakes bring a subtle heat balancing the richness. The garlic in the oil mixture infuses aromatic pungency throughout. Serving with lemon wedges provides a fresh citrus contrast that brightens the flavors while allowing adjustment of acidity to taste.

Leftover salmon can be stored refrigerated up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheating can be done carefully in the microwave for quick warming or in the oven wrapped in foil to retain moisture and preserve the crust texture.
