Crispy White Beans
Description
Crispy White Beans starts with cooked white beans that are carefully dried to remove moisture prior to seasoning. The beans are tossed with olive oil, nutritional yeast, paprika, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. This seasoning mix adds depth with umami and aromatic spices.
They are then placed in an air fryer in an even layer and cooked at a high temperature with basket shaking halfway through to ensure even crisping. The beans puff up and crisp nicely without burning, forming a snack that is crunchy on the outside while maintaining some bean substance inside.
This air-fried snack can be enjoyed on its own or added as a textured topping in salads or bowls. The beans should be kept in an airtight container to retain their crispness for up to seven days.
